International Efforts To Save Companion Animals
Bali Street Dogs Rabies Vaccination ProgramBali, which was considered rabies-free until an outbreak of the disease in 2008, has a large, unvaccinated roaming dog population which can spread the disease quickly. Donations support this life-saving vaccination program through IFAW, the International Fund for Animal Welfare, which is supporting the program.

Spay/Neuter and Vaccinate a Street Dog in IndiaThe Visakha Society For Protection and Care of Animals (VSPCA) works to reduce the overpopulation of street dogs in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh through its Animal Birth Control (ABC) program. VSPCA is a growing and struggling operation that also provides emergency animal care and shelter. No other similar services for injured street animals exist in the area.

Spay or Neuter a Street Dog in PeruAnimal birth control (ABC) programs are the most efficient and humane way to control stray populations and promote health among street dogs, and the people they come into contact with. International veterinary volunteers assist with spay/neuter campaigns in jungle towns where there is no veterinary care available.

Spay and Neuter Street Dogs in ChileThis comprehensive and humane program to save the street dogs of Chile and reduce the spread of rabies includes initiating vaccination and spay/neuter campaigns as well as developing an education outreach program for school-aged children (most common victims of dog bites and related health problems). No other similar services for street animals exist in the area.
