See Where We Work
South America > Bolivia
Bolivia is a country of over 9 million people, located in South America. Our efforts in Bolivia primarily focus on providing educational opportunities for children as well as rescuing endangered species. With your support here or at The Literacy Site, we can increase our impact in Bolivia and grow our Gifts That Give More™ program in the region.
Helping Children Learn to Read
Help Kindergarteners Living in JailOver a thousand children across Bolivia live in jails, accompanying their parents while they serve sentences. Most are under the age of six, but many stay beyond that age, having no other place to go and no one outside to care for them. Help children in such abnormal circumstances lead a more normal life by providing educational toys and school supplies.

Saving Wildlife
Save Blue-Throated Macaws in BoliviaThe Blue-throated Macaw cannot survive in habitat degraded for agricultural purposes - their food sources and living spaces must be preserved. Expanding the sole protected area in this delicate ecosystem would safeguard critical habitat for the Blue-throated Macaw and many other gorgeous birds.
