When was GreaterGood.org formed?
GreaterGood.org received its nonprofit 501(c)(3) status from the Internal Revenue Service in September 2007 making its nonprofit status retroactive to its filing date March 2006.
What is your relationship with GreaterGood?
GreaterGood.org distributes funds generated through the GreaterGood websites to the more than 100 charitable organizations. Please see RESULTS and CHARITABLE PARTNERS for more information.
Where does the funding come from?
Funds generated for charity by the GreaterGood websites are distributed by GreaterGood.org to non-profit organizations and charities in the form of grants. Approximately 50% of GreaterGood.org's funds are generated by the GreaterGood websites through visitors' actions such as "Click Here to Give" program and shopping at the GreaterGood online stores. The remaining 50% of GreaterGood.org's funds come from donations made directly to GreaterGood.org from individuals and corporations.
If I make a donation or purchase a Gift That Gives More™ will I receive a receipt for my taxes?
Yes. All donors who supply us with a valid e-mail address or mailing address will receive a receipt of their donation in the mail or via e-mail for tax purposes.
Does GreaterGood.org accept donations of goods or services?
No. GreaterGood.org is not able to receive goods or services, only monetary contributions.
